Job summary

POET is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our bioprocessing facility in Fairmont, NE. You will perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and cleaning of plant equipment, and communicate issues to management.

Responsibilities include boiler and cooling tower upkeep, pumps, gearboxes, PLCs, and water filtration. You may train others, work 12-hour shifts, and operate DCS and Maximo; safety and environmental compliance are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience as a Maintenance Technician I or equivalent.
• Fabrication, welding, cutting; repair of pumps, gearboxes, airlocks, fans/blowers, valves; boiler operations and water chemistry.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work with team members and other departments within POET.
• Maintain boiler and cooling tower systems including water testing and adjustments.
• Maintain plant equipment (pumps, gearboxes, electricals, PLCs, heat exchangers, etc.).
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO).
• Operate, maintain, and clean water filtration equipment and learn the plant DCS.
• Use Maximo to coordinate materials and document maintenance tasks.
