Job summary

Novonesis is seeking a Fermentation Control Intern to join the Development and Optimization of Microbes team in Morrisville, NC. You will help improve Bacillus and yeast production processes by implementing and testing a new fermentation control strategy on bench and pilot systems.

The internship lasts about 10 weeks (May 24, 2027–July 30, 2027) with a compensation of $23 per hour. You’ll collaborate with scientists and researchers across disciplines in a hands-on lab setting.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Interest in fermentation, process equipment, sensors, and programming controls.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
