Job summary

AbbVie’s MPDD organization seeks a Scientist I to design and execute studies characterizing biopharmaceutical properties of drug candidates. You will enable developability decisions for peptide and small molecule programs, collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to drive product performance.

You will apply strong scientific rigor, communicate findings clearly, and contribute to regulatory submissions while supporting early- and late-stage development activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with typically 5 years, or Master with typically 2 years in pharma.
• Fundamental understanding of biopharmaceutics related to drug absorption.
• Hands-on lab experience in in vitro assays and analytical techniques.
• Knowledge of preclinical and clinical formulation development.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, troubleshoot, interpret experiments on biopharmaceutics properties.
• Generate, document, and communicate high-quality data to teams.
• Analyze data and provide data-driven recommendations.
• Support development and optimization of methods and workflows.
• Maintain awareness of external scientific advances and apply them.
