Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Scientist I in Biopharmaceutics within the MPDD group to design, execute, and interpret studies that characterize biopharmaceutical properties of drug candidates. You will enable developability and inform decision-making for peptide and small molecule programs, collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with typically 5 years of experience, or master’s degree with typically two years in pharmaceutical or related industry.
• Knowledge of biopharmaceutics and drug absorption across routes of administration.
• Hands-on laboratory experience in in vitro assays and standard analytical techniques.
• Ability to analyze data and draw scientifically sound conclusions.
• Strong communication skills and collaboration in multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, troubleshoot, and interpret experiments related to biopharmaceutics properties of small molecules and peptides.
• Generate high-quality data and maintain accurate documentation.
• Analyze and summarize data and communicate findings to project teams.
• Contribute to the assessment of candidate molecules and formulations with data-driven recommendations.
• Support development and optimization of experimental methods and procedures.
