Job summary

ABEC seeks a Vessel Designer to lead the design, development and release of pressure vessel assemblies for biopharmaceutical manufacturing. You will utilize Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD to create 3D models, drawings and BOMs, ensuring compliance with ASME/BPE standards and project specifications.

The role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to work both independently and in a team, with occasional travel to support customer projects and site activities.

Qualifications

• Level 6/7 degree in Computer Aided Design or equivalent.
• 1-year postgraduate in drafting and design.
• Knowledge of 3D parametric CAD.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel).
• Detail oriented with drafting standards, design fundamentals and fabrication processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to multi-task.
• Domestic and international travel is required.
• Team-oriented and collaborative work style.

Responsibilities

• Work in a professional team-based office environment and meet date-driven customer-focused commitments.
• Review and comprehend customer-generated specifications and requirements.
• Create/maintain design documents with technical support from project engineering and management.
• Create/maintain component BOM documentation with support from project engineering and management.
• Create/maintain drawings per customer specifications including 3D models, detail drawings, and BOMs.
• Create and maintain project files using departmental resources and best practices.
• Provide manufacturing support related to published designs and released design documentation.
• Generate as-built design documentation using input from operations for Quality.
• Execute other tasks as assigned.
• Ability to travel when required.
