Job summary

Avantor seeks a dedicated Research Assistant to optimize our Biopharma/R&D organization. This full-time role is based out of Bridgewater, NJ.

You will maintain instruments, prepare buffers and perform analyses using HPLC/UPLC, GC-FID and related techniques, supporting method validation and transfer to QC labs. The role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance and data integrity.

1+ year experience in analytical labs and strong collaboration skills are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 1+ year experience with collaboration and Microsoft Office; familiarity with analytical techniques.
• Ability to comply with safety, environmental and quality policies/procedures.
• Familiarity with analytical techniques used in test method validation (HPLC/UPLC, GC-FID, GC-MS; wet chemistry).

Responsibilities

• Maintain instruments.
• Order and maintain stock levels of chemicals for testing.
• Perform buffer preparation, filtration and chromatography.
• Follow written procedure for sample analysis and operate instruments safely under supervision.
• Ensure documentation and test results are entered into e-notebook and keep records up to date.
• May travel to alternate Avantor sites.
