Lonza in Portsmouth, NH is seeking a Project Engineer 3 to provide technical leadership for manufacturing and process systems. You will act as a technical resource to operations customers to ensure equipment and facilities meet production needs, and you will drive capital and maintenance projects across the site.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 5–10 years of pharmaceutical/biotechnology experience, with familiarity in control systems.

Competenze

Bachelor’s degree required in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Biopharmaceutical) discipline.
5–10 years of substantial pharmaceutical/bi biotechnology experience or equivalent.
Experience with control systems (PLC, DCS, Loop controllers) desirable.

Mansioni

Lead root cause analysis and maintenance programs to optimize equipment reliability.
Plan and execute capital plant projects; oversee commissioning protocols and engineering contractors.
Serve as technical owner of P&IDs and process equipment; lead technology transfers.
Own change requests, CAPAs, and assist with deviation investigations and risk assessments.
Review and revise SOPs, batch records, validation protocols; update critical docs and drawings.
Act as SME during facility audits and inspections; demonstrate safety leadership.
