Job summary

GlaxoSmithKline seeks a project/engineer to manage capital projects at the Upper Merion Biopharm site. You will lead design, installation, and validation of biopharma process systems while ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include coordinating with engineering, validation, and operations teams, managing third-party firms, and delivering projects from scope through handover. A background in cGMP pharma is required.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or Life Sciences; 2+ years in a cGMP or FDA regulated pharmaceutical environment OR 2+ years in project and/or process engineering.
• Strong project management, scheduling, and cost control abilities.
• Experience in design, installation, and commissioning/validation of process systems and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead/design/installation of process and utility systems for biopharma production to meet budget/schedule goals.
• Demonstrate project management skills, coordinating internal and external resources for safe, timely delivery.
• Ensure compliance with cGMP, PMF, GSK policies and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to define scope and execution plans; hand over to customers post-implementation.
