Job summary

AstraZeneca's Frederick Manufacturing Center is seeking a Production Technician I to play a pivotal role in evolving our supply chain. You will operate upstream/downstream/central services processing equipment per SOPs and participate in troubleshooting, documentation, and continuous improvement efforts on a 12-hour rotating night shift.

The role requires at least a HS diploma with pharma experience; desirable candidates have a STEM degree, aseptic/cGMP exposure, and Bioprocessing background.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED with relevant pharma/biopharma experience (Tech I–III).
• Desirable: BS/BA or STEM degree, strong independent work and collaboration.
• Experience with aseptic/cGMP standards is a plus.
• Experience with Bioprocessing equipment and systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate processing equipment per SOPs, MPRs, and SPRs within cGMP guidelines.
• Serve as on-floor trainer and perform first-line troubleshooting.
• Follow and document cGMP processes and maintain production qualifications.
• Utilize MES to complete work orders and support SOP updates.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives on the production floor.
