Job summary

The Promega Corporation in Madison, WI, is seeking a Maintenance Technician 2 to support biopharmaceutical manufacturing facilities. You will perform advanced maintenance across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and water systems, diagnose issues, and ensure equipment reliability in a GMP environment.

You'll collaborate with senior technicians, engineers, and contractors; maintain accurate GMP logs in SAP; participate in continuous improvement; and be on-call as part of a rotating schedule, ensuring

Qualifications

High School diploma or proven work experience.
2–5 years' experience in general labor.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with SAP/ERP.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
BAS (Building Automation Systems) knowledge.
Proficiency with hand and power tools; safety-focused.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, and water systems.
Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues.
Assist installation of new equipment and monitor system reliability.
Coordinate with outside contractors and ensure safety/quality standards.
Maintain GMP/SOP logs and document maintenance in SAP.
Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and spare parts.
On-call for emergencies on rotating basis.
Lead 5S and keep work areas clean and organized.
Provide training and mentorship to other technicians.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
