Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking an investment banking professional to join the Biopharma Investment Banking team in New York.

Associates will support deal execution, build financial models, and assist senior bankers and clients across IPOs, Follow-Ons, PIPEs, Private Placements, and M&A transactions. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in a biopharma IB role, with strong modeling and valuation skills, and a background in life sciences.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of investment banking experience in biopharma
• BA/BS/MS in life sciences; advanced degrees prioritized
• Experience on equity capital markets, M&A and advisory work
• Deep understanding of biopharma models, therapies, and drug development timelines
• Strong analytical, financial, and valuation modelling skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects with deadlines
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with banking databases

Responsibilities

• Provide transaction support to senior bankers on live deals and pitches (IPOs, Follow-Ons, PIPEs, Private Placements, M&A)
• Build detailed financial models and valuation analyses
• Prepare client presentations and offering memoranda
• Conduct due diligence and industry research on companies and pipeline assets
• Monitor market activity and trends in biopharma
• Interact with clients and investors during due diligence and execution
