Job summary

U.S. Bank, in collaboration with BTIG, is seeking an investment banking professional to join the Biopharma Investment Banking team in New York. Associates contribute to live deals, build financial models, and support senior bankers from due diligence through execution.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in a biopharma IB role, with a life sciences degree; advanced degrees are a plus. Strong modeling, Excel/PowerPoint, and client-facing skills are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in investment banking biopharma vertical at bulge bracket or middle-market.
• Life sciences degree preferred; advanced degrees prioritized.
• Experience with equity capital markets transactions, M&A and advisory.
• Strong understanding of biopharma models, pipelines and timelines.
• Excellent analytical and modeling skills; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Provide transaction support on IPOs, Follow-Ons, PIPEs, Private Placements and M&A deals.
• Build detailed financial models and valuation analyses (DCF, comps).
• Prepare client presentations and offering memoranda.
• Conduct due diligence and industry research on companies and assets.
• Monitor biopharma market activity and trends.
• Interact with clients and investors during diligence, marketing and execution.
