Job summary

Prospect Rock Partners in San Francisco seeks an Associate 1/2 for its life-sciences team. The role focuses on supporting senior bankers in executing M&A and financing transactions, with exposure to CEO, CFO, and Board-level contacts and significant responsibility.

Ideal candidates will have life sciences and biopharma IB experience at the Associate level, along with strong modeling and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of investment banking experience, preferably in life sciences investment banking related transactions.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, including knowledge of financial accounting
• BS or BA in finance or similar field with an exemplary academic record
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills
• High motivation, energy, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, meritocratic, team-oriented environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Participate in client transactions, projects, and assignments
• Interact with clients, internal banking teams, and product teams
• Assist in preparing presentations and marketing materials (e.g., CIM, Management Presentations)
• Conduct valuation analyses and financial modeling of clients and targets
• Review business plans, conduct research, and analyze financial statements
• Manage due diligence processes, including virtual data room preparation and counterparty Q&A
