Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking a Field Engineer, Operations Maintenance to provide mechanical, technical, hands-on maintenance support to process/production operations, with focus on filling, packaging, anaerobe, and bioreactor operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of mechanical maintenance experience in bio/pharma or food processing.
• Technical institute training in mechanical manufacturing preferred.
• Supervisory or crew leadership experience preferred.
• Familiar with fermentation, bioreactor, autoclaves, and related equipment.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production process equipment to support production schedules and quality.
• Troubleshoot and implement corrective actions for equipment issues.
• Assist engineering projects involving electro‑mechanical applications.
• Coordinate with planners to ensure scheduling and compliance.
• Document work in CMMS and adhere to PM requirements.
• Train production and maintenance personnel on operations.
