VA Puget Sound Health Care System in Seattle seeks a Biomedical Equipment Support Specialist (BESS) specialized in information systems within HTM. You will maintain medical servers and networks, diagnostic software, virtual platforms, and clinical applications software to support the medical equipment management program.

Applicants should have an HTM/biomedical engineering background and be proficient in HL7, DICOM, cybersecurity, and EHR-related workflows.

Formación

• Bachelor or higher in biomedical tech or related field is preferred.
• Experience with HL7, DICOM and healthcare IT networks required.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity standards for medical devices is essential.
• Experience managing servers, virtual platforms, and clinical apps is expected.
• Certification in HTM/CBET or related field is highly desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and maintain medical servers, networks, and clinical software.
• Lead projects involving medical equipment integration with EHR systems.
• Ensure cybersecurity measures and disaster recovery for clinical systems.
• Coordinate software patches, backups, and network security updates.
• Collaborate with clinical informatics, vendors, and OIT to sustain uptime.
