SGMC Health is seeking a Biomedical Technician to ensure safe and effective operation of diagnostic and therapeutic medical equipment. You will perform planned maintenance, calibration, repairs, and installations while collaborating with clinicians and operations staff.
The role supports high patient care standards and reports to the Director of Biomedical Services. Preferred candidates hold an Associate's degree in medical electronics or related field and 1–2 years of equipment maintenance

Full Time, 8 HR Day Shift
This position is vital in ensuring the safe and effective operation of diagnostic and therapeutic medical equipment through planned maintenance, repairs, calibration, and installation. The Biomedical Technician collaborates with clinical and operational staff to maintain high patient care standards and reports directly to the Director of Biomedical Services.
Preferred qualifications include an Associate's degree in medical electronics, electronic technology, or a related field (or equivalent military experience) and one to two years of experience performing medical equipment maintenance.
Physical effort/lifting (the ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted). This position will sometimes require working weekends and nights or being on‑call as a regular part of the job. Travel between campus and clinic locations will be required, so a valid Driver's License for the state of Georgia is required.
