SGMC Health is seeking a Biomedical Technician to ensure the safe operation of diagnostic and therapeutic medical equipment through maintenance, calibration, and installation. You will collaborate with clinical staff to uphold high patient care standards and report to the Director of Biomedical Services.
The ideal candidate has an Associate degree in medical electronics or related field (or military equivalent) and 1–2 years of equipment maintenance experience; CBET certification is preferred.

This position is vital in ensuring the safe and effective operation of diagnostic and therapeutic medical equipment through planned maintenance, repairs, calibration, and installation. The Biomedical Technician will collaborate with clinical and operational staff to maintain high patient care standards. This position reports directly to the Director of Biomedical Services. Responsibilities:
EDUCATION: An Associate's degree in medical electronics, electronic technology, or a related field (or equivalent military experience) is preferred.
EXPERIENCE: One to two years of experience performing medical equipment maintenance is preferred.
Physical effort/lifting (the ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted). This position will sometimes require working weekends and nights or being on-call as a regular part of the job. Travel between campus and clinic locations will be required, so a valid Driver's License for the state of Georgia will be required.
