Qualifications

  • Experience handling laboratory animals or willingness to learn.
  • Basic laboratory skills including PCR, Western blotting, and preparation of reagents.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while following established laboratory protocols.
  • Excellent communication and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily animal husbandry and monitor health of laboratory mice.
  • Assist with mouse breeding, genotyping, weaning, identification, and colony records.
  • Perform routine lab techniques: DNA, RNA, protein extraction and quantification; PCR and gel electrophoresis; Western blotting; buffer/reagent prep; basic cell culture (preferred).
  • Maintain inventory and supplies; prepare solutions and reagents.
  • Keep accurate notebooks and electronic records; document experiments.
  • Follow safety procedures and animal care guidelines.
