Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University’s Neurology translational lab is seeking a dedicated research technician to join active muscular dystrophy projects. The role includes bench work with animal models, animal husbandry, and tissue collection for analysis.

You will perform molecular biology tasks (cloning, qRT-PCR, Western blot, ELISA), cell culture (iPSC maintenance/differentiation), and assist in manuscript preparation. Strong teamwork and meticulous record keeping are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in science with 2+ years of lab experience.
• Experience with cellular models, processing samples, sequencing preferred.
• Ability to learn software and perform data entry and analysis.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills essential.
