Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle is seeking a Research Technician I to support the Principal Investigator and assist with investigative work at the bench. You will order reagents, maintain cell lines, record data, and report results.

Required are a Bachelor's in a related field and strong laboratory skills; experience with animals or imaging is preferred. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a competitive hourly wage.

Qualifications

• MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in related scientific field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated scientific knowledge in the area of study.
• Demonstrated basic laboratory skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform experiments at the bench level to support investigative work.
• Order and maintain laboratory reagents, stocks, cultures or cell lines.
• Perform and modify documented protocols and assays.
• Maintain laboratory records and compile data on experiments and assays.
• Interpret and report on experimental results.
• Perform statistical analysis of test results and prepare written reports on work performed.
• Operate and carry out basic maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Order and maintain appropriate levels of supplies.
• May supervise work-study students.
• Perform other duties as required.
