Responsibilities

  • Provide support to faculty to conduct experiments including tissue prep and molecular biology techniques
  • Prepare buffers and solutions, maintain lab records and inventories
  • Perform routine maintenance of laboratory equipment and safety systems
  • Keep SDS records up-to-date and assist with OSHA compliance
  • Maintain animal care including housing, feeding and weighing of small animals
  • Assist with data collection, analysis and manuscript/poster preparation
  • Attend monthly Research Council meetings and record minutes
  • Assist with Interprofessional Research Day organization
  • Adhere to all safety and institutional regulations

Education

Bachelor's degree in Biology/Biochemistry or related Biological Sciences
Bachelor's degree in Psychology with minor in Biology or Biochemistry
