Job summary

Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) in Greensburg seeks an Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine Table Trainer. The faculty member will be well versed in all phases of OMM techniques and observe and instruct medical students as they practice during laboratory sessions, providing demonstrations when needed.

The role emphasizes teaching OMM in laboratories, coordinating demonstrations with faculty, and grading practical examinations while assisting in evaluating students' proficiency.

Qualifications

• Must possess knowledge of OMM techniques and be able to demonstrate them
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations and safety protocols
• Knowledge of student and patient privacy (FERPA, HIPAA)
• Follow OSHA and safety guidelines; protect equipment
• Excellent organizational skills and data entry ability
• Ability to work cooperatively with others and accept supervision

Responsibilities

• Serve as OMM techniques instructor during laboratory sessions
• Prepare OMM laboratory demonstrations and coordinate with faculty
• Participate in OMM practical examination grading by direct observation
• Aid in evaluating students' mastery and help remediate those lacking proficiency
• Attend COM team meetings and perform duties such as interviewing prospective students
• Adhere to course directives from OPP Course Director and Assistant Dean of Pre-Clinical Education
• Be available for scheduled hours for student instruction and assessment
• Other duties as assigned by the Institution
