Job summary

Science is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to contribute to the development of our devices and systems. You will design and build electromechanical platforms spanning medical wearables, research tools, and surgical equipment, focusing on precision and reliability.

The role requires collaboration with electrical, optical, software, microfabrication, biology, and quality teams to move concepts to market.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with rapid prototyping and DFMA.
• Experience with medical devices and ISO standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and build electromechanical systems for medical devices.
• Validate performance in lab, wet-lab, and OR settings.
• Iterate concepts by owning fabrication and testing pipelines.
• Collaborate with electrical, optical, software, microfabrication, biology, and quality teams.
• Demonstrated excellence with CAD software (Solidworks preferred).
• Apply DFMA and first-principles design across manufacturing methods.
