Case Western Reserve University seeks an Engineer 2 to advance image analysis software for SPECT/CT and non-contrast CT aorta assessments. You will design interactive tools for segmentation and measurements, and build a test process for clinical-grade software.

Working under limited supervision, you will apply judgment to adapt techniques, collaborate with clinicians, and mentor students while contributing to research publications and proposals in a hybrid lab environment.

Formación

• 3 to 5 years of professional engineering experience required.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• Knowledge of medical image software development, GUI design, informative visualizations, and interactive tools.
• Knowledge of software design best practices for medical software including FDA regulation compliance (e.g., ISO 13485).
• Knowledge of image processing including CT reconstruction, filtering, segmentation, and registration.
• Knowledge of machines and deep learning for image processing and computer vision.
• Knowledge of procedures for assessment and management of associated risk of medical software (i.e., false positives).
• Ability to support, educate, and advocate for students while adhering to university policies.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop image analysis applications for interactive aortic segmentation.
• Design and code aortic measurements with a results GUI and mentor input.
• Create interactive overlays of calcifications on cardiac SPECT scans.
• Create a test process for clinical-grade software.
• Provide technical direction to staff, associates, and students on software design principles.
