Job summary

The Florida Department of Health in Tallahassee seeks an OPS Government Operations Consultant II to oversee biomedical research grant administration from pre-award to closeout. This temporary role requires strong grant management and collaboration with PIs and Sponsored Research Officers.

You will monitor budgets, prepare agreements, and ensure compliance with reporting requirements. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat is expected, along with completing CITI training within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Critical thinking, problem solving, and customer centricity.
• Experience with data collection and analysis.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications.
• Florida Certified Contract Manager Certification (FCCM) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages and monitors multiple biomedical research grants throughout lifecycle.
• Collaborates with Principal Investigators and Sponsored Research Officers.
• Develops deliverables and prepares agreements and amendments.
• Tracks quarterly progress reports and submits invoices for compliance.
• Performs desk and onsite monitoring of grants as needed.
• Maintains grant files from execution to final closeout.
• Completes required CITI modules within 90 days of hire.
