Job summary

Vantive, a leader in kidney care technology, is seeking a Biomedical Field Service Engineer to install, calibrate, and maintain electro-mechanical medical equipment across hospital settings in the US. You will diagnose failures, manage service calls, train customer personnel, and help ensure patient safety while upholding our values of Care, Own it, Trust, and Innovate.

Travel 50-75% is expected, with a path to advanced service roles.

Qualifications

• Experience with installation, maintenance and repair of electro‑mechanical medical devices.
• Ability to diagnose issues and apply independent judgment to resolve problems.
• Willingness to travel 50–75% and work in healthcare environments with PPE.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; professional conduct.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, perform preventive maintenance and repairs on medical equipment.
• Diagnose failures, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Schedule service calls, manage travel and maintenance for SLA commitments.
• Maintain documentation, inventory records and calibration of test equipment.
• Plan and order parts; train customer personnel on operation and maintenance.
• Communicate service status and resolutions to customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Mentor peers and participate in meetings, training and knowledge sharing.
• Lead projects as needed and ensure compliance with hospital regulations.
