Job summary

ALPHA BIOMEDICAL & DIAGNOSTICS, INC. in Puerto Rico is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician to install, inspect, test and maintain medical and diagnostic equipment in clinical environments.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot issues, calibrate devices, and document all service activities in line with regulatory standards. This full-time, on-site role requires collaboration with clinical staff, adherence to safety protocols, and inventory management.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in equipment maintenance and equipment repair servicing biomedical or diagnostic devices.
• Hands-on experience servicing medical equipment and performing calibrations to manufacturer/regulatory specs.
• Knowledge of electrical safety standards and safe work practices for powered medical devices.
• Vocational or associate degree or equivalent training in biomedical equipment technology or related field.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service documentation.
• Attention to detail and strong documentation for maintenance/inspections/repairs.
• Effective communication and customer service with clinical staff and internal teams.
• Ability to lift/move equipment and work in clinical environments with infection control practices.
• Prior hospital/clinic or medical device service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, test, and maintain a variety of medical and diagnostic equipment in healthcare settings.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Calibrate equipment according to manufacturer specifications.
• Document all service activities as required by company and regulatory standards.
