Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Biomedical Engineering Technician II (BMET II) to maintain readiness of medical equipment and ensure conformance with manufacturer specifications. You will perform scheduled maintenance, repairs, end-user support, and installations across hospital sites.

The role requires the ability to travel between Hackensack Meridian Health sites and work with various patient care devices, electro-mechanical systems, and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Requires BS in Electronics or Biomedical Engineering Technology with 1 year BMET experience, or AS with 2 years BMET experience, or military BMET program with 2 years experience.
• Basic understanding of electronic/mechanical devices and patient care equipment.
• Able to access manufacturer documentation and understand regulatory requirements.
• Familiar with FDA 510k information and recalls related to patient care devices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain medical equipment readiness and ensure conformance with manufacturer specifications.
• Perform scheduled maintenance, repairs, end-user support, and installations.
• Travel between Hackensack Meridian Health sites as needed to support equipment.
