Job summary

Huron Regional Medical Center seeks a Biomedical Equipment Technician to repair, calibrate, and maintain medical equipment, instrumentation, and support systems used in healthcare delivery.

The role requires performing preventive maintenance, documenting service events, and conducting inventory audits. Training and competency assessments will develop knowledge and skills for successful performance.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in electronics; knowledge of biomedical equipment maintenance preferred.
• Willingness to learn and complete required on-the-job training and courses.
• Knowledge of plant operations including heating, cooling, ventilation, electrical, medical gas, sanitation, and potable water preferred.
• Current valid driver's license.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, manuals, and other documents.
• Willingness to participate in required training and competency assessments to perform the position.

Responsibilities

• Repair, calibration, and maintenance of medical equipment, instrumentation and support systems.
• Execute professional-level inventory assessment/audits and preventive maintenance.
• Provide remedial corrective maintenance and maintain documentation of all service events, tests, and maintenance performed.
