Job summary

Children's Wisconsin is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician to maintain patient care devices across the hospital. You will inspect, repair, and calibrate a wide range of medical equipment, ensuring reliability and safety in clinical areas.

The role requires an associate degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology and at least one year of experience with electronics. You will document work, coordinate with vendors, and respond to urgent equipment failures to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology.
• 1+ year of experience as an electronics technician.
• Ability to read and interpret device manuals and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and repair patient care equipment to ensure safety and accreditation standards.
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform mechanical/electrical repairs.
• Order parts and manage documentation.
• Respond to emergency service calls and coordinate with users.
• Assist in budget preparation and capital equipment recommendations.
• Perform services at CHHS locations.
