Sodexo is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician 3to join our team at Capital Health Medical Center in Pennington, NJ. This is more than just a technical role—it's a leadership opportunity. We're looking for a skilled professional who can serve as a mentor to junior technicians while ensuring that critical medical equipment is expertly maintained, calibrated, and compliant with safety standards.

What You'll Do
  • Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and repairs on medical equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety.
  • Ensure all medical equipment meets safety and performance standards, adhering to regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with the biomedical engineering team to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of all maintenance, calibration, and repair activities.
  • Assist in the installation, testing, and validation of new medical equipment.
  • Respond to equipment malfunctions and provide timely repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Work closely with hospital staff to ensure equipment is safe and operational for patient care.
  • Stay current with industry trends and developments to ensure best practices are followed.

What You Bring
  • Preferred (but not required) experience includes:

    • Anesthesia and Operating Room (OR) equipment

    • Nihon Kohden patient monitoring systems

    • Ventilator servicing and training
    • Familiarity with Cerner Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience repairing, maintaining and calibrating medical devices independently
  • Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting
  • Ability to make decisions regarding troubleshooting and repairing medical devices
  • Excellent communication, customer service and time management skills
  • Scheduling flexibility to participate in an on-call rotation schedule

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree (or equivalent experience) in electronic, biomedical engineering or a discipline geared toward managing maintaining and repairing clinical equipment within a healthcare environment

Minimum Functional Experience - 7 years of experience in electronic, mechanical or electro-mechanical repair in a health care technology setting
