Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in related engineering field or at least 2 years' experience in biomedical instrumentation repair.
AAMI certification preferred.
One year of relatable experience in a hospital setting or recommendation by Director of Clinical Engineering.
Knowledge of standards, regulations (Joint Commission, FDA, ECRI, ASA, OSHA, DPH).
Strong knowledge of biomedical instrumentation and hemodynamic monitoring.
Excellent English communication skills (oral and written).
Proficiency with standard software programs used in healthcare (MS Word, Outlook) and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoots critical care instrumentation in clinical areas and provides recommendations for improved use.
Conducts electrical safety testing and inspections on equipment under Clinical Engineering and Health Services.
Performs calibration and performance assurance testing to ensure proper operation.
Performs emergency and routine repairs of instrumentation.
Maintains equipment inventory and repair data.
