Job summary

Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY, is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician for full-time work in Clinical Engineering. You will service low to high-risk equipment, perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and repairs across hospital and offsite locations.

Responsibilities include installations, troubleshooting, and maintaining equipment databases. A high school diploma with 1 year of related experience is required; an associate degree is preferred, and a valid driver's license

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with 1 year of related experience is required.
• Associate's degree in Electronic or Instrumentation Technology preferred.
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs safety/preventive maintenance inspections and services electronic and electromechanical biomedical equipment.
• Installs, maintains, and calibrates equipment per manufacturer specs.
• Troubleshoots and repairs equipment, including electronics and electromechanical devices.
• Responds to operator complaints and corrects issues.
• Performs equipment modifications per provided diagrams or schematics.
• Maintains EM equipment management database for compliance.
• Completes on-call responsibility.
• Other duties as assigned.
