Job summary

Intelas, a Compass Group USA healthcare company based in California, seeks a Biomedical Equipment Technician to perform planned maintenance and safety inspections on patient care equipment. Qualifications

• 3 years servicing clinical/patient care equipment in a hospital environment.
• Good communication and strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently with some supervision.

Responsibilities

• Performs planned maintenance and electrical safety inspections on patient care and selected equipment in compliance with standards.
• Manages all assigned equipment and schedules service.
• Performs pre-acceptance inspections and develops PM procedures; maintains files on procedures and manuals.
• Responds to calls from clinical departments to evaluate and rectify issues.
• Researches and initiates orders for repair parts within budget parameters.
• Maintains purchase order log and validates invoices for payment (field service personnel).
• Provides informal training to equipment users and staff as requested.
• Collaborates with department to improve service strategies and communicates updates to supervisor.
