Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician to provide preventive maintenance, safety testing, repairs, calibration, installation and routine service for general diagnostic and therapeutic medical equipment under the Clinical Engineering Manager.

You will perform PM procedures, diagnose equipment problems, and coordinate with clinical staff to minimize downtime while maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate's degree in a related field and CBET preferred.
• Must understand electronics, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
• Experience with corrective and planned maintenance on medical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM procedures on a range of clinical equipment.
• Diagnose problems using electrical, mechanical, and other tests and document results.
• Notify users and CE management of repair status and delays.
• Interact with clinical staff to minimize disruption during PM.
• Order replacement parts per policy and obtain approvals when needed.
• Complete work orders and maintain proper documentation.

Education

Associate's degree in Medical Electronics/Electronics Technology

CBET certification preferred
