Job summary

Boston MedFlight seeks a Biomedical Equipment Technician to act as the in-house technical resource for inspection, preventive maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, repair, lifecycle management, and technical support of medical equipment used in critical care transport.

The role requires independent work to ensure equipment safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance, with involvement in equipment evaluation, CAD design, prototyping, and testing across bases, aircraft, and other transport

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in a biomedical/engineering field.
• Three+ years of experience maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing biomedical equipment.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot electrical, electronic, mechanical, and software-related problems.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, calibrate, test, and repair medical equipment for safety and readiness.
• Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and calibration records.
• Coordinate with manufacturers or service providers for complex repairs.
• Support equipment evaluation, integration, and lifecycle management in critical care transport.
• Provide technical education and documentation related to biomedical equipment.
