Job summary

GE HealthCare in the Northshore region seeks a field service technician to evaluate, diagnose, repair, and perform PM on basic biomedical equipment. You will work under supervision, ensure safety, and maintain strong customer relationships.

Responsibilities include documenting repairs, supporting on-call rotations, and complying with policies. A background in engineering and hands-on service experience preferred; relocation assistance offered.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• OR equivalent military education; OR participation in GEHC internship/military externship program.
• OR High School Diploma/GED with 2+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, evaluate basic customer biomedical equipment issues, implement repairs, and perform PM and safety/environmental inspections.
• May assist more experienced technicians on basic and more complex repairs/resolution.
• Effectively communicate and partner with teammates and colleagues.
• Follow GE policies and complete necessary documentation.
• Maintain daily communications with customers to ensure resolution and follow up.
• Document all repair actions and submit reports according to schedule.
