Veterans Engineering, a wholly owned subsidiary of Aretum, is seeking a Biomedical Engineering Support Specialist III to provide advanced support for healthcare facilities, ensuring medical equipment safety, functionality, and regulatory compliance. You will troubleshoot devices, perform preventive maintenance, and train staff on safe equipment use, with emphasis on patient outcomes.

Ideal candidates bring at least five years of hospital device maintenance experience, an applied science degree

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of hospital or healthcare experience maintaining medical equipment.
• Associate degree or higher in an applied science or equivalent military training.
• Competency in operational verification, planned maintenance, and repair of various medical devices.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming and periodic inspections on medical equipment.
• Ensure equipment conforms to manufacturer specifications and VA paperwork.
• Install, calibrate, and test medical devices per manufacturer literature and approvals.
• Conduct inventory and asset management in VA systems.
• Execute preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment malfunctions.
• Document activities according to VA standards.
