Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a Bio-Med Buyer to manage purchasing of equipment, supplies, and services for hospital operations. The role requires strong Excel use, supplier negotiation, and coordination with user departments to meet clinical needs.

Responsibilities include processing POs and invoices, maintaining catalogs, and supporting Accounts Payable. A HS diploma is required, a Bachelor's degree is preferred, and one year of buyer experience is desired.

Qualifications

• One year of experience as a Buyer preferred.
• Knowledge of equipment, supplies and policies and procedures.
• Strong planning, organization and decision-making skills.
• Analytical, mathematical, and negotiating abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication; MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Purchase a variety of equipment, supplies and services using computerized systems.
• Manage inventory to minimize stock and non-stock orders; monitor backorders.
• Process purchase orders, invoices, and receiving documents for Accounts Payable.
• Meet with user departments to determine requirements and sources of supply; negotiate prices and lead times.
• Prepare tender documents using Microsoft Office; maintain purchasing records and catalogs.
