Job summary

Aptyx is seeking an Engineering Intern to assist in the design, development, and transfer of medical devices across multiple applications, including vascular and interventional therapies. You will work with engineers and cross-functional teams to execute tasks, ensuring products meet quality, performance, and timeline expectations.

The role offers hands-on laboratory and light manufacturing exposure, including design, prototyping, testing, and documentation within a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing BS or MS in Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Familiarity with CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
• Strong mechanical intuition and hands-on problem solving.
• Ability to communicate clearly and document work.
• Experience with basic lab tools and measurement instruments.

Responsibilities

• Follow Aptyx Quality System and SOPs.
• Support development activities across the product lifecycle.
• Assist with hands-on product assembly, prototyping, and process development.
• Assist engineers in designing components and tooling using CAD (SolidWorks).
• Conduct testing, collect data, and document verification/validation activities.
• Prepare and maintain manufacturing and engineering documentation per quality requirements.
• Collaborate with teams and suppliers to support active programs.
