Texas Health Resources, Inc. is seeking a Biomed Technician I for HTM Biomed in Plano, TX.

This full-time role covers performance assurance, maintenance, repair, and calibration of general biomedical equipment, with a focus on accuracy of the equipment database and customer relationships. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus an associate degree or BMET training; military BMET training is also acceptable.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent (Required).
• Associate's Degree or 2 years relevant work experience in lieu of a degree (Required).
• Successful completion of military BMET training (Required).
• No experience required with an Associate's degree or BMET (Preferred).
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record (Required).
• CBET, CLES, or CRES certifications (Preferred).
• Other specialized formal training certificates (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform performance assurance inspections, maintenance, and safety checks on general biomedical equipment.
• Repair, install, and calibrate biomedical devices as needed.
• Maintain accuracy of the equipment database including inventory and service history.
• Build and maintain customer relationships with internal teams and providers.
• Conduct periodic inspections of current inventory status.
• Verify security analysis for new customer equipment and complete incoming inspections.

Work hours: Full Time Days Monday through Friday (7:30am-4:00pm) for 40 hrs/week.

Here’s What You Need

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent (Required) And
• Associate's Degree Associates of applied science, information technology management, or related field. 2 Years Relevant work experience in lieu of a degree. (Required) Or
• Successful completion of military BMET training. (Required)
• No experience required with an Associate's degree or BMET. (Preferred)
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record. Upon Hire (Required)
• And
• Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET), Certified Laboratory Equipment Specialist (CLES), or Certified Radiology Equipment Specialist (CRES). Upon Hire (Preferred)
• Other Specialized formal training certificate Upon Hire (Preferred)

What You Will Do

• Perform performance assurance (PA) inspections, scheduled maintenance, electrical safety inspections (ESI), and operation verification procedures (OVP) on general biomedical equipment
• Repair, install, and calibrate general biomedical equipment
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the equipment database to include the inventory, performance assurance (PA) schedules, nomenclature, and service history
• Build and maintain customer relationships
• Perform periodic inspections of current inventory status
• Verify the completion of security analysis for new customer equipment
• Perform Incoming Inspections (II) to maintain a complete and accurate inventory of medical devices, including trial and evaluation, rental, and loaner equipment in addition to permanently assigned equipment inventory
