Job summary

Texas Health Dallas, located at 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231, seeks a Biomed Technician I – HTM Biomed. Work hours are full-time days, Monday through Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm, for 40 hrs/week.

The HTM Biomed department offers a full-service shop in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with OEM training available. Responsibilities include PA inspections, maintenance, ESIs, and OVPs on general biomedical equipment, repairs, and calibration, while maintaining equipment databases and service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Associate's degree in a technical field is preferred; related fields acceptable.
• Two years of relevant biomedical equipment experience can substitute for a degree.
• Military BMET training is acceptable and preferred.
• Certifications such as CBET/CLES/CRES are preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform performance assurance inspections, scheduled maintenance, electrical safety inspections, and operation verification procedures on general biomedical equipment.
• Repair, install, and calibrate general biomedical equipment.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of the equipment database including inventory, PA schedules, nomenclature, and service history.
• Build and maintain customer relationships.
• Perform periodic inspections of inventory status.
• Verify security analysis for new customer equipment.
• Perform Incoming Inspections to maintain complete and accurate inventory of medical devices.

Education

H.S. Diploma or Equivalent (Required)

Associate's Degree (AS, A.S., information technology management, or related field)

2 Years Relevant work experience in lieu of a degree

Military BMET training (Required)

No experience required with an Associate's degree or BMET (Preferred)

Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record (Required)

CBET / CLES / CRES or related certification (Preferred)

Other specialized training certificate (Preferred)

Here’s What You Need

• Associate's Degree Associates of applied science, information technology management, or related field.
• 2 Years Relevant work experience in lieu of a degree. (Required)

• Successful completion of military BMET training. (Required)
• No experience required with an Associate's degree or BMET. (Preferred)
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record. Upon Hire (Required)
• Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET), Certified Laboratory Equipment Specialist (CLES), or Certified Radiology Equipment Specialist (CRES). Upon Hire (Preferred)
• Other Specialized formal training certificate Upon Hire (Preferred)

What You Will Do

• Perform performance assurance (PA) inspections, scheduled maintenance, electrical safety inspections (ESI), and operation verification procedures (OVP) on general biomedical equipment
• Repair, install, and calibrate general biomedical equipment
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the equipment database to include the inventory, performance assurance (PA) schedules, nomenclature, and service history
• Build and maintain customer relationships
• Perform periodic inspections of current inventory status
• Verify the completion of security analysis for new customer equipment
• Perform Incoming Inspections (II) to maintain a complete and accurate inventory of medical devices, including trial and evaluation, rental, and loaner equipment in addition to permanently assigned equipment inventory
