Job summary

Texas Health Dallas is seeking a Biomed Technician I in HTM Biomed to perform maintenance, calibration, and inspection of biomedical equipment. This role emphasizes accuracy in equipment databases, customer relationships, and adherence to safety procedures in a fast-paced hospital environment.

The position requires at least a high school diploma or equivalent, plus an Associate’s degree or BMET training. A valid driver’s license is required; CBET/CLES/CRES certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's Degree in applied science, information technology management, or related field; 2 years relevant work experience in lieu of a degree (Required).
• Military BMET training completed (Required).
• No experience required with an Associate's degree or BMET (Preferred).
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record (Required) Upon Hire.
• CBET, CLES, or CRES certifications (Preferred) Upon Hire.
• Other specialized training certificates (Preferred) Upon Hire)

Responsibilities

• Perform PA inspections, scheduled maintenance, ESI, and OVP on general biomedical equipment.
• Repair, install, and calibrate general biomedical equipment.
• Maintain accuracy of the equipment database including inventory, PA schedules, nomenclature, and service history.
• Build and maintain customer relationships.
• Perform periodic inspections of current inventory status.
• Verify security analysis for new customer equipment.
• Conduct Incoming Inspections to maintain inventory of medical devices and equipment.

Work hours

Full Time Days Monday through Friday (7:30am-4:00pm) for 40 hrs/week.

Here’s What You Need

What You Will Do

• Perform performance assurance (PA) inspections, scheduled maintenance, electrical safety inspections (ESI), and operation verification procedures (OVP) on general biomedical equipment
• Repair, install, and calibrate general biomedical equipment
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the equipment database to include the inventory, performance assurance (PA) schedules, nomenclature, and service history
• Build and maintain customer relationships
• Perform periodic inspections of current inventory status
• Verify the completion of security analysis for new customer equipment
• Perform Incoming Inspections (II) to maintain a complete and accurate inventory of medical devices, including trial and evaluation, rental, and loaner equipment in addition to permanently assigned equipment inventory
