  • Provide whole-house coverage at multiple Michigan Medicine locations and document work in the AIMS system.
  • Identify and prepare parts and materials for repairs and preventive maintenance; drive as needed with a valid Michigan driver’s license.

Job Summary

With minimal supervision, repair, calibrate, and maintain medical equipment and support systems of varying complexity at Michigan Medicine. The primary responsibility is whole-house coverage at the University Hospital, Children and Women's Hospital, Cardiovascular Center, Pavilion, and other on-campus locations at Michigan Medicine. Responsibilities include corrective and preventive maintenance on a wide variety of medical equipment. Equipment responsibilities include, but are not limited to, patient monitoring systems, nurse call systems, TV systems, patient equipment, operating room equipment, and other equipment as assigned.

Responsibilities*

Work performed is documented in the work order database system, AIMS. Additional duties include identifying and preparing parts and materials necessary for repairs and preventive maintenance on assigned devices. This is a temporary position with a variable schedule based on departmental workload and operational needs. Hours are not guaranteed and will be assigned as needed. The technician must have a valid Michigan driver's license and be able to drive a motor vehicle.

Additional Information

Paygrade: B3
