Job summary

The New York Yankees Performance Science department seeks a Biomechanics Associate in Tampa, FL. Reporting to the Senior Biomechanist, you will be a research technician managing operations in the Performance Science Laboratory.

You will collect and process motion capture data, maintain lab equipment, and supervise lab Interns while ensuring ethical handling of human subject data. This is a contract role through Oct 31, 2027.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; master's preferred in kinesiology, biomechanics, engineering or related field.
• Demonstrated ability with biomechanical data collection and analysis is essential.
• Expertise in optical motion capture hardware and software is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate data collection in the lab with stakeholders.
• Oversee setup, calibration and teardown of biomechanics equipment.
• Manage data collection procedures and document workflows.
• Tag and upload biomechanical data feeds per conventions.
• Oversee processing of motion capture data in a timely, rigorous manner.
• Maintain lab equipment and interface with vendors for software updates.
