Arthrex, Inc. is seeking a Biomechanical Research Co-op in Naples, FL to support in-house cadaveric biomechanical studies. You will assist the team with literature review, study design, biomechanical testing (tension, compression, bending), data analysis, and manuscript preparation.

The role requires a strong engineering background, knowledge of biomechanics, and proficiency in MATLAB and CAD tools. This is a January–June 2027 co-op with a 40-hour week on-site in Naples, FL.

Qualifications

• Progress toward a college degree in Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering required; junior or above preferred.
• Recent graduates must be within six months of graduation to qualify.
• Prior research experience at an R1 institution preferred; biomechanical research experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist research engineers with literature review, study design, preparation and execution.
• Conduct biomechanical tests including tension, compression, torsion and bending.
• Perform data analysis with statistical modeling and graphical representations.
• Enter data, maintain study records and manage the research database.
• Prepare internal reports and manuscripts.
