Job summary

Arthrex, Inc. in Naples, FL is seeking a Biomechanical Research Co-op to assist the biomechanics team with in-house cadaveric studies and data analysis. You will apply engineering and scientific principles to study novel surgical techniques and prepare manuscripts.

The position runs January 2027 through June 2027, with a 40-hour work week at the Naples facility. Ideal candidates pursue Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering degrees, with strong coding and CAD skills.

Qualifications

• Progress toward a Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering degree is required.
• Junior or above; recent graduates within six months are eligible.
• Prior research experience at an R1 institution is preferred.
• Biomechanical research experience is preferred.
• Publication experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist research engineers with literature review and study design, preparation, and execution.
• Prepare samples, including cadaveric dissections.
• Conduct biomechanical tests (tension, compression, torsion, bending).
• Analyze data with statistical modeling and create graphs.
• Enter data, organize the study database, and maintain records.
• Draft internal reports and manuscripts.
