AeroVironment, Inc. seeks a Biomaterials Laboratory Technician to support the Biological Materials and Processes Research Team at the Air Force Research Laboratory in Dayton, OH.

You will assist researchers with biomaterials development, testing, and characterization, following established protocols and procedures. Formación

• Basic understanding of bacterial cell biology and lab processes.
• Willingness to learn new lab techniques and work on a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong organizational skills; able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Experience handling lab chemicals and measuring mass/volume at milli- and micro-scale.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and online file-sharing platforms.
• U.S. citizen required for work at a government facility.
• Must be eligible to access information subject to ITAR/EAR requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Assist research scientists with lab activities and experiments addressing research questions across biological, chemical, and engineering disciplines.
• Prepare, produce, and test biomaterials using established techniques and procedures.
• Conduct routine characterization and testing of biomaterial specimens using mechanical and chemical/biochemical methods.
• Follow written protocol instructions for biomaterial formation and testing.
• Record organized notes of SOPs, test protocols, and results accurately.
• Communicate observations and results clearly to the team in written and verbal form.
