Job summary

Montauk Renewables, Inc. in Turkey, NC is seeking a Plant Operator to run and maintain a Biomass Processing Plant and related environmental control devices, converting biomass into pipeline quality gas and biodiesel.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, basic computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel), a valid driver's license, physical stamina, and the ability to work on-call in a safety‑conscious, team‑oriented environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Basic computer skills including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Valid Driver's License issued by state of residence and in good standing.
• Physical ability to exert up to 50 pounds.
• Exposure to dirt, odors, noise, and weather extremes.
• Ability to walk over uneven terrain and work at elevated positions.
• On-call flexibility and varied schedules.
• Team‑oriented and safety‑conscious.
• Willingness to perform non‑technical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain a Biomass Processing Plant and related environmental control devices.
• Convert biomass into pipeline quality gas and biodiesel.
• Adhere to safety and environmental policies and SOPs.
• Record plant instrumentation readings and log data diligently.
• Perform basic maintenance and assist with equipment upkeep as directed.
