Job summary

Montauk Energy Holdings, LLC is seeking a Plant Operator in Turkey, NC to operate and maintain a Biomass Processing Plant and related environmental control devices, converting biomass into pipeline quality gas and biodiesel.

Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma or GED, basic computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel), a valid state driver's license, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. The role requires on-site work with on-call flexibility and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• High School or GED diploma
• Basic computer skills including Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Valid Driver's License issued by state of residence and in good standing
• Required to exert physical effort up to 50 pounds
• Exposure to dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes
• Walk over uneven terrain
• Work at elevated positions
• Flexible for on-call and varied schedules
• Team-oriented and safety-focused
• Willingness to perform tasks outside technical scope (e.g., housekeeping, landscaping, painting)

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain a Biomass Processing Plant.
• Manage environmental control devices.
• Convert biomass into pipeline quality gas and biodiesel.
• Operate with SOPs and document readings as required.
